Stronger Together: Project MFG Teams Up with Head for the Cure
We’re beyond excited to announce a new partnership that’s close to the heart and built for impact. Project MFG is teaming up with Head for the Cure, bringing together two missions that may seem totally different but share something huge in common: hope, purpose, and real change.
On the surface, brain cancer advocacy and workforce development might not seem connected. But dig a little deeper, and you’ll see the truth: both are about showing up in big ways for people at life’s most defining moments, whether they’re battling a diagnosis or figuring out their future.
About head for the cure
Head for the Cure is all about lifting up brain cancer patients, their families, and anyone who’s been touched by this tough disease. Through fun, meaningful events like their 5K run/walks, they bring people together to raise awareness, fund lifesaving research, and remind everyone they’re not alone in this fight.
The three pillars of their mission include
1. Build Awareness for a disease that is not widely known about and needs advancements in treatments to help patients.
2. Raise Funds through 5k run/walk events and other fundraising events and campaigns to support clinical research and programs.
3. Ignitine Hope for all who have faced this disease or know someone who has been impacted by it.
About Project MFG
Project MFG is on a mission to transform American manufacturing by inspiring the next generation of skilled tradespeople. By bringing together schools, industry, and government, we help students discover viable, fulfilling careers in welding, machining, and advanced manufacturing fields, which are essential to our economy and national security.
As Founder of Project MFG, Ray Dick says, “If we don’t have a sustainable supply chain, we don’t have national security. Manufacturing matters.”
Why This partnership matters
So, what brings a manufacturing initiative and a brain cancer nonprofit together?
According to Matt Anthony, Founder of Head For The Cure, “We’re both here to advocate for people facing the unexpected, whether that’s a health diagnosis or a future they never imagined for themselves. We exist to build resilience and purpose.”
Project MFG goes beyond training the next generation of skilled workers; we’re meeting young people where it counts, helping them realize they do have a future, even if it doesn’t follow the typical script. Meanwhile, Head for the Cure is standing beside families during some of the hardest moments imaginable, offering comfort, connection, and real support.
Together, we are showing up coast to coast, face to face, bringing messages of hope, strength, and opportunity. Whether at a career competition or a cancer walk, we’re making personal connections that open eyes, change minds, and transform lives.
“We can touch so many more people personally by being there face to face and our Go Program in partnership with Head for the Cure really gives us an opportunity to expand our reach beyond anything ever envisioned.”
-Ray Dick, Founder of Project MFG
Hitting the Road Together
Through this new partnership, we are hitting the road, bringing inspiration, information, and opportunity to communities across the country. The goal? To uplift those facing life’s hardest challenges and ignite potential in unexpected places.
By coming together, we are proving that meaningful partnerships can transcend industries, and that when organizations come together purpose, the impact is limitless.
