Season 2: Maritime Welding National Championship
The Maritime Welding Competition is a welding-centered series made up of local qualifying events and a National Championship. The top two finishers from each regional event earn a spot at Nationals, bringing together the best of the best from across the country.
After a year of epic events all across the U.S., 13 talented finalists from 7 states advanced to the National Championship, hosted at Ferris State University earlier this month. Their challenge? Weld and assemble a model aircraft carrier in just eight hours, a true test of skill, precision, and endurance under pressure!
So, who walked away with the $10,000 grand prize and the title of 1st place?

Season 2: Maritime Welding National Championship
Right after the Maritime Welding Championship, we headed straight into the action of the National Welding League Championship, graciously hosted by Ferris State University earlier this month.
This season, the National Welding League brought together 337 students from 122 schools across 37 states and 1 Canadian province. Starting in October 2024, these students dedicated themselves to their craft, grinding, welding, and sharpening their skills through months of hands-on practice and competition.
This year, 23 finalists were challenged with welding a model Osprey aircraft, a complex build that tested their precision, technique, and stamina. With only eight hours to complete the project, it was the ultimate showcase of craftsmanship under pressure.

Just when we thought this month couldn’t get any more exciting, we wrapped it up in a big way, with the Season 5 Clash of Trades: Advanced Manufacturing National Championship, hosted at the cutting-edge Advanced Manufacturing Facility at Southwestern Illinois College.
This season has been nothing short of unforgettable, highlighting some of the most skilled, passionate, and driven advanced manufacturing students from across North America.
With 60 teams representing schools from 46 U.S. states and multiple Canadian provinces, the level of talent was truly next-level. After a competitive season, only the top 4 teams in the nation earned their spot in the finals and competed for the ultimate title: 2025 Clash of Trades: Advanced Manufacturing Champions.
